Palm Beach Atlantic University Associate Professor Gary Poe examines frescoes hundreds of years old at the Monastery of St. John the Divine on Patmos Island. The structure was built in the 11th Century, not far from the location where John the Disciple is believed to have received his Revelations.
Patmos is governed by the Greeks even though it is only about 30 miles from the coast of Turkey.
Students, faculty and alumni from Palm Beach Atlantic University are in Turkey for a tour of historical sites. They are on Honors Study Travel program.
