Over 90 percent of the land in the southeastern United States is privately owned, but we are fortunate to have laws and incentives that make wildlife management more accessible to the private landowner. If habitat destruction and fragmentation is the bad news, the good news is that you, as a private landowner, have an opportunity to reverse that trend…. you can restore wildlife habitat on your land…. one woodlot, one field, and one stream at a time. In this nine video series, we walk you through some of the ideas and issues that face you as a landowner as you plan for wildlife – remember that this is a primer and you will really need to work with wildlife experts when you plan and implement wildlife habitat restoration on your property.
